It's been a pleasure to follow the last part of Jenny's year. Her stream is full of lovely macros, wonderful bokeh and creative portraits of her son. She also includes descriptions that read like a mini-blog. If you click through to her final photo you'll find interesting details of her year of photography!
Here are two of my favorite photos from her project:
Below is our finisher interview with Jenny along with some photos from her project that she choose to represent her project. Congratulations again!
What inspired you to begin your 365 Project?
I was inspired by a couple of my photographer friends and contacts on here to start my 365 as I'd recently bought my first DSLR camera and was keen to become a better photographer. I decided to start my project on my 30th Birthday to mark the milestone :)
How would you describe your photography in just a few words?
I like to photograph most things, alot of my pictures feature the Somerset countryside and my 2.5 year old boy who in the Flickrverse I refer to as The Chap! I like simplistic photography and don't like too much processing but I do like experimenting!
What surprised you the most about doing the 365 project?
For the most part of my 365 I have really enjoyed my 'quiet time' of taking my photo of the day. It's a nice 5 mins breather from life in general :) However, what surprised me was how hard it would be on some days, struggling to find motivation or inspiration for *that* perfect shot.
What did you learn during the course of your project?
I have learnt alot about photography, I've taught myself from scratch about how to use the different settings on my camera and how to make a good picture better as a result.
What are your future photography plans?
Since undertaking my 365 project a number of great things have happened, I've had a picture appear in a Flickr Exhibition and an exhibition celebrating Bristol Festival of Photography. I've also sold some of pictures and they are now hanging on various walls around and about :D My favourite however has been my first wedding shoot, it really surprised me that I enjoyed it so much! I loved ordering everyone around! I have another 2 in the pipeline so I'm hoping that I will have more of this in the future!
As for my Flickr future, I fully intend to start another 365 project, not back to back with this one but in the next few months. So watch this space :)
