I've not been around Flickr as much as normal this past week so thank you for all the wonderful nominations. It was really hard to pick just three! Patti | dearmissdoll admired jellyfish from a safe distance, purplemattfish had a great start to his second year and markfieldingpic stunned us with Japanese mountains. Don't forget to visit their streams to see what else they've been up to.
been a long while since i have posted a couple favs. here are some from the past day. and as always.. lots more where these came from.. heaps of good stuff in the pool.
Dawn or dusk, when the sun is low in the sky, is one of the best times to get out there and take photos. Here are just a handful of recent shots that make the most of the natural light.
Yay.. We have another finisher in the group. Matthew finished up his 365 project yesterday. Woo hoo. And while he is still not sure if he is going to continue onto year two.. he is keeping his options open, and snapping away.
Below we have featured his final photo, two of his favs and admin's choice ;). But be sure to check out the slideshow or visit his stream to see the images from the entire year. Heaps of creativity in there and he did some amazing work with lighting... which he was always willing to share. Many of his 365 shots feature a "set up" shot. Please be sure to go have a peak.
Another member of our group finished up his project this week. Yay. Lets all send a big congrats to TDW!
We have featured his favorite from his 365, his final shot of this year's 365, one of his shots that made it to the San Diego County Fair and an admin fav. But guess what? ... he will be continuing right on into year 2. Craziness I say! With some new lighting equipment, he is excited to focus on more portraits... something he grew to enjoy during his project this year.
Last year on August 12th (his birthday!), Abdulrahman started his 365 project. He finished up the other day. Yay! During this past year he was traveling quite a bit, so in his stream you can find lots of beautiful landscapes taken during those times. He also has some amazing b&w portraits and details of the everyday.
Below we have featured the photo from his last day, his favorite, his girlfriend's fav & a fav of the admin. As always was hard to choose. And since he missed a few days during this past year.. he just might continue through the end of the year.. but he also has some other photographic projects in store. Congrats again!
One of the things that contributes to a strong photo is shape and form... this photo jumped out at me today as a strong example of a strong image... it has a moodiness to it that is frankly quite stunning and beyond that - the structures work really well to grab your eye! Well done aSilva!!! :)
Life has been crazy around these parts lately, so apologies for absence of posts on my part...
Does anyone out there have zero life and therefore able to be a daily blogger?! It seems nearly a week has past without posts and everyone's busy enjoying summer (or winter if you're Al). Anyway, just a few faves from the group to keep you going...
Another week and this time they're my choices (if you don't like, make sure you nominate next week). ĦŁκâLϊЛ℮ /\/\öǙşЄ risked life and limb balancing on killer heels, ddiemont took a break (but still stopped by to post a gorgeous macro) and obsessive compulsive photographer found a fountain on fire.
We had another finisher yesterday, Shutterbug Cel reached day 365 with a balloony end. Visit her final shot for her views on the project. Below are her first shot, last shot, her favourite and an admin choice plus a slideshow of the whole year.
