Congratulations to attila acs!

Congratulations to Attila who just finished his second 365 project with this photo:

Fire 365/365

Here are some of his personal favorite photos from his project and his 365 interview including some admin faves:

Lord of the flies 332/365

I like this because it was the first time I managed to get good detail on something as small as a fly. As far as I remember it was just cropped a little bit.

Some damage 350/365

This was really hard to get. Shot through the fence at the race using a very old consumer level (read: slooooow) tele zoom lens. And the cars were insanely fast and close.

Tuk Tuk in Bangkok 110/365

I just LOVED Bangkok! This is an example of how I tend to over-process things. This shot was a complete coincidence too: I didn't look through the viewfinder because I didn't want the person to pose or be unnatural. I love just shooting without over analysing or planning too much!

What inspired you to begin your 365 Project?
I did my first one just because I wanted to get good use out of my newly purchased DSLR and learn new techniques. Once I finished it, I just kept going and now I'm about to finish the second one. I just love browsing through the 365 Community photos and find inspiration there.

Focus Filter 266/365

How would you describe your photography in just a few words?
Overprocessed, underwhelming but fun! ;-) Sometimes it's part of my work as a graphic designer but mostly I'm trying to play with it and not get too close to "stock photography" territory.

What surprised you the most about doing the 365 project?
Probably the fact that I didn't stop after the first one! I loved using my flickr 365 sets as reference to see what I was doing that day or where I was. Even if it's a boring shot of something around the house, it helps to to retrace my steps and figure out what I did that day. It's like my "backup memory"...

Moo! 8/365

What did you learn during the course of your project?
That it doesn't matter what kind of camera you have. Even a blurry low quality photo can me a better reminder of a certain day or moment than any "professional photo".

Do you have an interesting story about taking one of your 365 photos that you would like to share?
I looked through my set and can't think of many stories about taking the photo! But I realised that maybe that describes my photography really well. It's very quick and spontaneous! I don't do setups or anything too complicated. I did a photo shoot for a product (didn't make it into the set because it was pre-release at the time) where the light setup turned out to be a waste of time because it looked best without any lighting whatsoever! I guess that's also something I learned during the project: scale back and work with less...

Giant in the bathroom 71/365

What are your future photography plans?
I think I'm happy with my entry level DSLR for now and I'll keep using that if I need it for work but I might switch my 365 to the iPhone.
I recently got hooked on an app called instagram. It's fun to use and it's really "instant".
By the way, I'm looking for other 365ers on there!! If you want to add me, my username is attilaacs. I'm always trying to find people on there to follow because I don't know many photo-crazy people with iPhones here.

As for another 365: I'm thinking about doing a 270 to bring it up to 1000 "photos of the day". Not sure if I'll do a full 365...

Self Portrait 165/365

Congratulations again to Attila! His set has lots of creative photos and concepts and it's well worth a visit!
